Admission Requirements

General

Academic Requirements

  • Honours degree or 4-year degree in psychology from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of a B- average (70%) for the courses in the same field as the major taken within the last two years of undergraduate studies.

Supporting Documents

  • Application package which includes a letter of recommendation
  • One copy of transcripts from each post-secondary institution attended, including exchanges
  • Statement of intent

  • Statement of research interests
  • Resume
  • International applicants: copy of passport
  • 3 reference letters
  • GRE scores
    • All applicants: General GRE scores
    • International applicants and/or applicants without a 4-year honours degree in psychology: General and Subject GRE scores
  • Official TOEFL/IELTS score if English has not been the language of instruction in your previous academic program
    • Minimum IELTS score (Academic ONLY!) - 6.5 overall with no subtest score below 6.0
    • Minimum TOEFL score - 93 IBT with no subtest score below 20
  • $50 CAD application fee

Other

  • Co-operative education is available to all enrolled students.
  • Consideration is given to volunteer work, research, work experience and clinically related public service.
  • Average GPA is 3.6
  • Average GRE percentile scores are: 79th (Verbal), 61st (Quantitative), 80th (Analytical)
