Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • MUN English proficiency requirements
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Pre-requisite course: Statistics course (3 credits)

Additional requirements:

  • Nutrition and Dietetics Specialization
    • Undergraduate dietetics program (accredited by Dietitians of Canada, DC)
  • M.Sc. Med Community Health
    • Applicants must find a faculty member that is willing to supervise them
  • Ph.D.
    • Master's degree in a related field
    • Completion of a Master's thesis or related research experience
    • Applicants must find a faculty member that is willing to supervise them

GPA

  • Masters:
    • Minimum average of 75% in the last 2 years of undergraduate program

  • Master's
    • Semester fee + M.P.H. special fee ($730 to be paid the first and second semester)
    • For full-time, Program fee per semester:
      • NL & Labrador Students: $1,313
      • Other Canadian Citizens/Permanent Residents: $1,707
      • International Students: $2,218
  • Doctorate - Program fee per semester
    • NL & Labrador Students: $888
    • Other Canadian Citizens/Permanent Residents: $1,154
