- Graduate with an honours degree (or equivalent) in astronomy, physics, pure or applied mathematics, engineering, or engineering physics

Oral Exam
- 6 weeks before oral - submit thesis to Supervisory Committee
- 4 weeks before oral - receive corrected thesis from Supervisory Committee
- 3 weeks before oral - deadline for oral exam forms (obtain from the Program Office)
- 3 weeks before oral - distribute hard copies of corrected thesis to Examining Committee.
- week after oral - make corrections if applicant has a time constraint (ex. registration for another term, leaving country etc.)
Timeline
- March 1: Application deadline (for fall term)
- Sep 30: Application deadline (for Winter term)
- Jan 30: Application deadline (for Summer term)
