Admission Requirements
General
- Apply online at http://www.yorku.ca/web/futurestudents/graduate/apply_now/
- Application fee of $80
Academic Requirements
- Regular Master of Arts program: Honours degree in Mathematics or Statistics (or equivalent background)
- Master of Arts for Teachers program: Honours degree or equivalent in Mathematics or an ordinary B.A. in Mathematics, plus a Bachelor of Education
- M.Sc. program in Applied and Industrial Mathematics: Honours degree in mathematics or equivalent
- For all 3 programs: minimum B grade point average based on last two years of study
Financial Requirements
- Domestic student annual tuition fee: $5,441.22
- International student annual tuition fee: $11,928.99

- 2 official copies of all post-secondary education transcripts
- Supplementary Admission Form
- 2 letters of recommendation
- $80 application fee

Other
- Usually those applicants admitted to the regular M.A. program have a B+ average or better
- Applicants with a B- average are often considered for the Master of Arts for Teachers program
- Graduate diplomas in Financial Engineering and Mathematics Education are also available
- Streams and specializations: Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Probability, Theoretical Statistics, Applied Statistics
