Timeline

  • Summer-Fall 2013. Applicants should take respective GRE, GRE Subject, TOEFL or IELTS and GMAT exams no later than November (required exams) in order to guarantee that official scores reach the Graduate School by the application deadline for the department to which you are applying.
  • August 15, 2013. Application becomes available online for Fall 2014 admission.
  • December 1, 2013 . Deadline for Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS). All applications must be submitted by this date and official standardized test scores should be received by this date to be considered by Yale for Fall 2014 admission.
  • December 15, 2013. Deadline for African American Studies (combined with History or Political Science), Chemistry, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Economics, History, Law, Political Science, Psychology and Public Health. All applications for these programs must be submitted by this date and official standardized test scores should be received by this date to be considered by Yale for Fall 2014 admission.
  • January 2, 2014. Deadline for all other departments*. All application must be submitted by this date. Official standardized test scores should be received to be considered by Yale for Fall 2013 admission. Applications cannot be submitted for any program of the Graduate School after this date.
  • February 13, 2014. Deadline for the Sackler/NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program.
  • January-March 2013. Applications for fall 2013 reviewed by departments and programs.
  • February-March 2013. Official admissions decisions for fall 2013 communicated to applicants.
  • April 15, 2013. Deadline for applicant responses to most offers of admission for fall 2013.
