Admission Requirements
General Notes
No preference is given to University of Waterloo students Acceptance of application submissions begin October 1 Applicants should be enrolled in a university-level undergraduate Bachelor of Science program Pharmacy Admissions Committee prefers applicants to demonstrate evidence of taking a full course load (5 courses per term)

Required classes
- Biology:
- Introductory Cell Biology (with lab)
- Genetics
- Fundamentals of Microbiology (with lab)
- Human Anatomy
- Chemistry:
- Physical and Chemical Properties of Matter (with lab)
- Chemical Reactions, Equilibria and Kinetics (with lab)
- Introductory Biochemistry or Fundamentals of Biochemistry
- Introductory Chemical Thermodynamics
- Basic Organic Chemistry 1 (with lab) or Organic Chemistry 1
- Basic Organic Chemistry 2 (with lab) or Organic Chemistry 2
- Mathematics:
- Calculus 1 for the Life Sciences or Calculus 1 for Honours Mathematics or Calculus 1 (Advanced)
- Calculus 2 for the Life Sciences or Calculus 2 for Honours Mathematics or Calculus 2 (Advanced)
- Introductory Statistics for Scientists
- Humanities, Social Sciences, and English:
- Four terms of Humanities or Social Sciences at the university level (normally no more than 2 terms should be from a single subject area)
- Grade 12 English (any Grade 12 U-level English course)

GPA
- Minimum overall university average of 75% (3.0/4.0 or 6.5/9.0 GPA)
- Grade achieved in every university course taken will be included in the overall average calculation

Supporting Documents
- Official transcript of high school marks
- Official interim and final transcript marks from the institution the applicant is currently attending
- Copies of calendar descriptions from the institution for consideration of possible transfer credits
- Pharmacy Admissions Profile: describes applicant’s involvement in activities
- 1 Reference Letter Form: preferably from a pharmacist

Interview
- Applicants must complete a Reading Comprehension/Writing Test (time limit applies) as part of the interview process
- Invitations for interviews will be sent on April 10
- Interviews are conducted in early May

Admission
- Notification of admissions decisions will be communicated to all applicants on June 11
- Admitted students are required to submit documentation of up-to-date immunization records
Deadlines
- January 31: application submission
- February 15: receipt of interim university transcript(s), Pharmacy Admission Profile submission, submission of confirmation of English Language requirements (applicable for foreign applicants)
- February 22: receipt of Reference Letter Form
- April 17: confirmation of attendance to the Pharmacy Admission Interview
- June 2: receipt of final university transcripts
- June 20: acceptance to offer of admission

Tuition
- Tuition rates are yet to be determined for the Pharmacy program
- Estimated annual total costs for domestic students in a regular (not co-op) program: $8,525 to $19,861 (includes tuition, books and supplies, residence and meal plan and other expenses)
- Estimated annual total costs for international students in a regular (not co-op) program: $25,134 to $38,148 (includes tuition, books and supplies, residence and meal plan and other expenses)
