Supporting Documents

  • The School of Pharmacy only accepts/requires two recommendations, one from an academic source and one from a professional source.
    • Academic sources include: professors or teaching assistants who have directly interacted with the applicant at a university level, university/college academic advisors
    • Professional sources include: employers or volunteer organization personnel with whom the applicant has directly worked
  • Official, sealed transcript from all colleges, universities, etc.. attended or from which credit was awarded.

Interviews

  • Interviews (by invitation only) usually start in late January/early February and run through April.
  • Interviews (roughly 30-45 minutes) take place in Seattle.
  • Applicants will be interviewed by three members of the UW School of Pharmacy PharmD Admissions Committee.
  • Includes a 30 minute on-site writing skills assessment in which applicants must plan and hand-write one essay.

  • January 5, 2011: PharmCAS Application deadline
  • January 5, 2011: School of Pharmacy Supplemental Application deadline
  • Late January to April: Interviews are held
  • February to May: Letters of admission and denial are sent

Tuition 2010-2011

  • Resident: $18,389 (USD)
  • Non-Resident: $33,659 (USD)
  • Additional fees include a one-time Health Sciences fee of $475, course or lab fees ($40-$60 per lab/course), and practicum fees of $10 per practicum
