Program Information

  • Master of Public Health (MPH)
    • To be completed within 2 academic years of full-time study
    • Offers integrated learning in five core disciplines:
      • Biostatistics
      • Epidemiology
      • Environmental health sciences
      • Health services administration
      • Social and behavioural sciences
    • Includes public health practicum program to integrate academic studies
    • Possibility of MPH thesis option after enrollment
    • Approximately 50 spots and 700 applicants

Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree: 4-year bachelor's degree or higher
    • Fields: Health Science, Life Science, Social Science, or Business
  • Recommended Course: Statistics (300 or 400 level undergraduate course)

GPA

  • cGPA: minimum B average (70%+) in last 2 years of highest degree required
  • Competitive cGPA: at least 80% in last 2 years of study

  • Three letters of recommendation (including two academic referees who can comment on applicant’s scholarly work)
  • Letter of interest (2 pages in length)

    • TOEFL: 86 with 19+ in each section
    • IELTS: 6.5 with 6.0+ in each section
    • CanTEST: 4.5 with 4.5+ in each section

  • MPH:
    • Canadian students: $12,200 for entire program
    • International students: $19,276 for entire program
  • MPH Thesis option:
    • Canadian students: $1,262 per term
    • International students: $1,993 per term
