Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree: no undergraduate degree required
  • Required Courses
    • General Biology with lab (4 credits)
    • Microbiology with lab (4 credits)
    • Human Anatomy or physiology with lab (4 credits)
    • Calculus (3 credits)
    • Statistics (3 credits)
    • General Chemistry with labs (8 credits)
    • Organic Chemistry with labs (8 credits)
    • General Physics with labs (8 credits)
  • For students who will not complete a bachelor’s degree following requirements also apply
    • Social and Behavioural Sciences (9 credits) – at least two must be from different departments with at least one course involved in historical analysis
    • English composition (6 credits)
    • Humanities and Fine Arts
      • Philosophy, ethics and etc (3 credits)
      • Literature (3 credits)
      • Visual or Performing Arts (3 credits)
    • Lifetime fitness (1 credit)
    • U.S. Diversity (3 credits)
    • Global Issues (3 credits)
    • Foreign language up to level 3 or intermediate in a single language (9-10 credits)

  • Average GPA 2008 admitted applicants: 3.5
  • Grades below C- for prerequisite courses are not acceptable

Interview

  • Scheduled December through early March
  • Combination of faculty, staff, students, and alumni will participate in interview. Generally two people interview each applicant
