Admission Requirements

General Notes

  • International students are not accepted unless they are officially sponsored by government agencies
  • Enrollment is limited and preference is given to Manitoba residents
  • No out-of-province applicants have been accepted within the last 15 years

Criteria

Required classes

  • Applicants must have completed 30 credits in the following courses with no grade less than C:
    • 6 credits of Chemistry
    • 6 credits of Biology
    • 6 credits of Mathematics
    • 6 credits of Arts electives at the 100 level or above (of which 3 credit hours satisfy the written English requirement)
    • 9 credits of open electives at the 100 level or above

GPA

  • An adjusted GPA (AGPA) of 3.5 or more is required
  • Applicants with an AGPA of less than 3.5 will not have their essays evaluated
  • If a core course has been repeated once, the higher grade will be used for calculating the core GPA
  • If a core course has been repeated more than once, all grades for attempts will be averaged

PCAT

  • Not required

Supporting Documents

  • Current official transcript of an applicant's university record
  • Faculty of Pharmacy Critical Skills Essay: (1 hour duration, usually written in late April or early May): formal, persuasive, academic essay arguing for or against a selected proposition

Deadlines

  • March 1: application submission due
  • June 1: receipt of all supporting documentation

Tuition

  • Tuition rate for Canadian citizens and permanent residents: $5387
