Admission Requirements

General

  • MSc students must meet the academic requirements of their enrolled departmental program to apply
  • Applicants will then enrol in both their original program and in the collaborative toxicology program
  • Online application available at: www.uoguelph.ca/graduatestudies/

Academic Requirements

  • Minimum requirements for Graduate Studies at the University of Guelph:
    • Honours baccalaureate degree
    • Minimum B- average in last 2 years of study
  • Note: academic requirements may vary depending on the collaborative department the applicant applies to; departments may require specialized degrees, and in most cases a higher average for admission

Financial Requirements

  • Annual sub-total for full-time domestic students: $6,491.00 (includes tuition and compulsory fees such as Dental Plan, Drug Plan, Athletic fee, etc.)
  • Estimated annual cost of living for domestic students: $18,091.00 to $23,066.00 (includes sub-total from above and cost of living expenses)
  • Limited financial support exists as graduate assistantships and scholarships

Documents

  • Hard copy of the online application, to be mailed with the application package
  • Statement of Research Interest and Career/Graduate Study Goals
  • 2 letters of reference
  • 1 certified copy of each previous undergraduate and/or graduate transcript
  • Application fee of $85
  • Proof of English Proficiency (if not a Canadian Citizen): TOEFL, IELTS, MELAB, CAEL scores are accepted

  • Interdepartmental program consisting of students from the Departments of Animal and Poultry Science, Biomedical Sciences, Chemistry, Environmental Biology, Human Biology and Nutritional Sciences, Integrative Biology, Land Resource, Mathematics and Statistics, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Pathobiology, Plant Agriculture
