Admission Requirements
General
- Online application available at: http://www.uoguelph.ca/graduatestudies/
Academic Requirements
- BSc Honours in Plant Science or Biology
- Minimum B average during the last 2 full years of undergraduate study
- In exceptional cases (students with high academic standing and research potential which may be furthered to the PhD level), MSc students may transfer to the PhD program
- Exceptional students may also transfer directly from a BSc Honours to the PhD program

- Hard copy of the online application, to be mailed to the department’s Admissions Secretary
- Statement of Research Interest and Career/Graduate Study Goals
- 2 letters of reference
- 1 certified copy of each previous undergraduate and/or graduate transcript
- Application fee of $85
- Proof of English Proficiency (if not a Canadian Citizen): TOEFL, IELTS, MELAB, CAEL scores are accepted

- Applications are accepted all year
- Semesters begin in the first weeks of January, May, and September
- Processing and consideration time for applications takes around 6 weeks
