Admission Requirements

General

  • Online application available at: www.uoguelph.ca/graduatestudies/

Academic Requirements

  • BSc Honours degree
  • Minimum B- average in the last two years of undergraduate study
  • BSc Honours graduates with at least an 80% average in their last 2 years of undergraduate study may be admitted under exceptional circumstances, directly to the PhD program

Financial Requirements

  • Annual sub-total for full-time domestic students: $6,491.00 (includes tuition and compulsory fees such as Dental Plan, Drug Plan, Athletic fee, etc.)
  • Estimated annual cost of living for domestic students: $18,091.00 to $23,066.00 (includes sub-total from above and cost of living expenses)

Documents

  • Hard copy of the online application, to be mailed to the department’s Admissions Secretary
  • Statement of Research Interest
  • 2 letters of reference
  • 1 certified copy of each previous undergraduate and/or graduate transcript
  • Application fee of $85
  • Proof of English Proficiency (if not a Canadian Citizen): TOEFL, IELTS, MELAB, CAEL scores are accepted
