Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree: Minimum of 92 quarter units (equivalent to 62 semester units)

    • Biology (3 quarter units with lab in at least one term)
    • General chemistry (3 quarter units all with lab)
    • Organic chemistry (3 quarter units all with lab)
    • Mammalian physiology (4 quarter units)
    • Physics (1 lab in electricity and magnetism)
    • Calculus (2 courses)
    • English composition (2 courses)
    • Electives in the humanities and/or social sciences (28 quarter units), which must include:
      • Economics (1 course)
      • Public speaking or debate (1 course)
      • Psychology, sociology, or cultural anthropology (1 course)
