- First-year Biology with labs (2 semesters)
- First-year Chemistry with labs (2 semesters)
- First-year university English (2 semesters for which UBC gives transfer credit)
- First-year Calculus (2 semesters)
- Cell Biology or university Genetics (1 semester)
- Organic Chemistry with labs (1 semester)
- Biochemistry (1 semester)
- Microbiology (1 semester)
- Humanities or Social Science (2 semesters)
