Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

MSc

  • BSc. or equivalent in biology, genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, medicine, computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or statistics
  • minimum 76% (B+) average in third and fourth year courses
    • Significant experience in one of the aforementioned fields

PhD

  • Masters degree
  • Transfer from a master’s degree to the PhD program is possible if the applicant has 80% of higher in relevant graduate courses
  • International applicants should consult the UBC Graduate Programs website for country-specific requirements here
