- Applicants must be New Zealand or Australian citizens / permanent residents in order to be eligible to apply for entry.

Degree Requirement
Applicant categories:
- 1. School-leavers (60 places)
- NCEA
Students will be ranked on their 80 best credits at NCEA level 3 or higher over a maximum of five subjects. A rank score of 220, with a minimum of 18 credits in Chemistry and 18 credits in Biology at NCEA level 3 is required.
- CIE: Minimum rank score of 230, with Biology and Chemistry as required subjects
- IB: Full IB Diploma with a minimum of 30 points.
- 2. Alternative admissions (30 places)
- Expected to achieve a minimum GPA of 5.0 in 9.0 scale (B average) across their entire course of study.
- 3. Māori and Pacific Admission Scheme (MAPAS) (15 places)
