Admission Requirements
General
- Apply online at http://www.gradstudies.ualberta.ca/applyadmission/index.htm
- Program is mostly PhD-based but there are MSc opportunities available too.
Academic Requirements
- Four year undergraduate degree in the biological sciences.
- Minimum GPA of 3.3 (B+ average).
Financial Requirements
- Students are encouraged to apply for graduate research assistantships and teaching assistantships, scholarships and other means of external funding.

- Copy of official transcript
- Three recommendation letters
- TOEFL scores if English is not your first language (minimum score of 600 or 250 on the computer version)
- Short summary of research interests and goals
Other
- If admitted to the MSc program, students have the opportunity to transfer to the PhD program after one year.
