Admission Requirements
General Notes
- Language of instruction is exclusively French
- Applicants must be Canadian citizens or have permanent resident status in Canada
- Priority is given to Quebec students
- Weighting of applicant's admission decision: grades 50-65%, Université de Laval's personality test 25%, Université de Laval's questionnaire 10-25%
Criteria
Required classes
- CEGEP DEC or equivalent
- CEGEP level:
- Biology 301 and 401
- Chemistry 101, 201, 202
- Math 103, 203
- Physics 101, 201, 301
- Applicants must have completed at least 12 university credits at the time of application

GPA
- Université de Laval uses the CRL system (cote de rendement Laval) to measure the applicant's academic strength

French Language Requirements
- If the applicant's previous language of instruction was not French, he/she must write the "test de français international"
- Minimum score of 860 out of 990 is required

- Tuition (per session) for a full-time Quebec student (equivalent of 15 credits): $1047.15
- Tuition (per session) for a full-time out-of-province student (equivalent of 15 credits): $2669.85
- Tuition (per session) for a full-time foreign student (equivalent of 15 credits): between $5427.15 and $6027.15

Statistics
- 2006: approximately 1200 applications were received for 145 available openings
- All openings except 6 are reserved for Quebec applicants
- 3 openings are reserved for Francophone applicants from New Brunswick, 2 for Francophone applicants from Ontario, and 1 for a Francophone applicant from Nova Scotia
