Program Information

  • Masters in Computer Science (MSc.)
  • 6 to 8 semesters
  • Approximate Class size: 185 (aprox. one-third are Ph.D students)


Admission Requirements

  • Msc requirement
  • holds a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computing Science or a related field
  • cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (on a scale of 0.0 - 4.0) or the equivalent.
  • Phd requirement
    • holds a master's degree or the equivalent in Computing Science or a related field; or
    • holds a bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computing Science or a related field, with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 (on a scale of 0.0 - 4.0) or the equivalent.


Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree: BSc. in computer science - applicants who do not have a degree in computer science, are required to demonstrate skills at the third level in the following:
    • Operating Systems (equivalent to SFU's CMPT 300)
    • Data Structures and Algorithms (equivalent to SFU's CMPT 307)
    • Database Systems and Structures (equivalent to SFU's CMPT 354)

Tuition

  • Annual tuition - $ 4514.40
  • Financial Support - applicants with good standing are given at least $16,500 per year. Scholarships are also available
