Program Information

  • Graduate programs in four areas:
    • Brain, Behaviour and Cognitive Science (BBCS)
    • Clinical
    • Developmental
    • Social-personality
  • Women, aboriginal peoples, people with disabilities, and visible minorities are especially encouraged to apply.
  • Applicants for the Master's program who do not plan to pursue a PhD degree are discouraged
  • An average of 180 applicants per year, 14% acceptance rate.

Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Master's program: 4 year Honours degree in psychology or equivalent degree in adjacent areas such as cognitive sciences
  • PhD program: Master's degree in psychology from another recognized university

GPA

  • B+ average (75-79%) in an Honour's degree

GRE

  • All candidates must complete the GRE General Test
  • Applicants who do NOT have a honours undergraduate degree in psychology must complete the Subject GRE Test in psychology
  • Successful applicants have GRE scores above the 60th percentile

  • December 1st: Deadline to submit complete application for admission to next academic year's class

Tuition 2012-2013

  • Domestic student: $7,312
  • International student: $14,104

  • Doctoral students in good standing are provided with a minimum of $18,000 per year
