Admission Requirements
General Notes
- Approximately 40 students are enrolled each year
- Applicants should complete the required courses by the Winter session prior to admission
- Preference is given to bona fide residents of Newfoundland and Labrador and who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents
- Applicant must have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours at a recognized institution
- Admissions will normally be to the first year of pharmacy studies
- No preference is given to applicants who have completed more than one year of university studies

Criteria
Required classes
- First year biology, chemistry, English, mathematics and physics
GPA
- Admission Score is comprised of the Academic Average Score (65%) and the Non-Academic Interview Score (35%)
- The Academic Average is calculated based on the following formula: average of pre-admission courses (50%) and average of all post-secondary courses (50%)
- Applicants with an academic average of less than 70% usually will not be offered an interview
- It is suggested that applicants have an 80% average or higher

Deadlines
- March 1: 2008 Undergraduate Application for Admission/Re-admission deadline (for those students that have not attended Memorial University)
- March 1: receipt of official transcript with final grades available to date and courses in which the applicant is currently registered
- May 1: receipt of unofficial transcript or grade report with final grades for winter semester courses
- June 1: receipt of final official transcript, including all final grades from the current year
Tuition
- Approximate annual cost for Canadian students: $9,249 (includes tuition, books and supplies, compulsory fees and accommodations)
- Approximate annual cost for international students: $15,883 (includes tuition, books and supplies, compulsory fees and accommodations)
