- Master’s
- Degree: Bachelor of Science (BSc)
- Applicants should have a solid educational background in the areas of physical and biological sciences.

- Degree: Either one of the following:
- Master’s degree in Microbiology & Immunology
- Master’s degree in Biochemistry
- Master’s degree in a biological science
- A highly qualified student in the departmental MSc program

- Minimum CGPA: 3.2 out of 4.0

- The GRE is not necessary although it is recommended.

Supporting Documents
- Online application form
- 2 letters of reference from academic or professional employers who can make a judgement regarding the applicant’s abilities.
- 2 official transcripts from all universities attended; transcripts in a foreign language must be translated into English or French by the institution or a certified translator
- The Supervisor Confirmation Form
- Proof of proficiency in English: for all applicants whose mother tongue is not English
- TOEFL: 86 (no less than 20 in each of the 4 component scores) for iBT and 567 for PBT
- IELTS: band score of 6.5 or greater
