Admission Requirements

NOTE: Applicants must contact a faculty member of the department of Anatomy and Cell Biology to arrange to work in their lab, should the applicant be accepted by the University

Academic Requirements

  • M.Sc: B.Sc. degree or equivalent in a related field with a cGPA of 3.0/4.0 or 3.2/4.0 over last two full-time years.
  • Ph.D: M.Sc degree or equivalent in a related field with a cGPA of 3.0/4.0 or 3.2/4.0 over last two full-time years or B.Sc. with a cGPA of 3.5/4.0.

  • Supervisor Confirmation Form
  • Official proof of Canadian citizenship or landed immigration status
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Proof of English Proficiency (where applicable, sent directly)
    • TOEFL (PBT of 550+, IBT of 86+ with 20+ in each component)
    • IELTS (overall of 6.5 or higher)
  • Unofficial transcript

Apply 3-6 months before date of entry
Fall:

    • International students: April 21
    • Canadian/McGill students: June 21

Winter:

    • International students: September 1
    • Canadian/McGill students: November 10

Tuition 2018-2019

There is a minimum yearly stipend of $18,000 for M.Sc and $20,000 for Ph.D students.

  • M.Sc.
    • For Québec students: $4,264.34 based on 30 credits taken across Fall and Winter semesters.
    • For non-Québec students who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents: $9,440.54 based on 30 credits taken across Fall and Winter semesters.
    • For international students: $19,454.44 based on 30 credits taken across Fall and Winter semesters
  • Ph.D.
    • For Québec students: $4,264.34 based on 30 credits taken across Fall and Winter semesters.
    • For non-Québec students who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents: $4,264.34 based on 30 credits taken across Fall and Winter semesters.
    • For international students: $17,732.44 based on 30 credits taken across Fall and Winter semesters
