Admission Requirements
General Notes
- Majority of admissions are reserved for Maritime residents - Up to 10% (of 90 positions) of accepted students may be non-Maritime students
Criteria
Required classes
- Prerequisites have changed for the upcoming years but either old or new requirements are acceptable for the 2007 and 2008 entering years
- One full year of chemistry and biology
- One course of first year calculus, in addition to one course in statistics
- One full year in the social sciences (of the same subject)
- One full year's credit of English
- For current requirements: one of two of the full-year social science and humanities courses must be a writing course
- Note: applicant may also substitute 2 semester-long courses of the same subject for a year- long course
- Prerequisite courses must be completed by June 30 of the year of application to be eligible for entry

GPA
- GPAs are converted to averages in the consideration of the application
- 4.3 GPA scale is used
- Averages are taken for the prerequisite courses and the last full year of university completed
- If the applicant is in his/her first year of university or college, the last full year counted is the Grade 12 high school year (high school transcript submission then becomes necessary)

- Not required

- Post-secondary (and high school, if applicable) transcripts should be sent directly to the Dalhousie College of Pharmacy Admissions Office
Deadlines
- Supporting documents and applications for 2007 (along with most recent transcripts including all interim marks) due by February 1
Tuition
- One year estimate for Canadian residents: $9,585 (includes all university student fees and bus pass)
- For international students: additional $3,630 per semester in differential fees, mandatory $609 international student health policy
