Admissions Requirements

General

• Apply online for an account at https://gsapplications.carleton.ca/
• Students must send in a pre-application form before a formal application can be completed.

Academic Requirements

• Graduate with an Honours degree. For students without an Honours degree- an overall gpa of over B+ is required to get entry into the qualifying year program. .
• Student must be recommended by the department they plan to study in.
• Must prove English language proficiency.
  • Your first language is English, OR
  • You completed your undergraduate study at an English speaking university OR
  • TOEFL: paper based: 550, computed based: 213; IBT: 86

Financial Requirements

• Tuition fees for one year for Canadians: $4899.50
• International tuition fees: $10819.50

Supporting Documents

• 2 copies of your transcript (sealed official institution envelope, signed on the flap officially)
• 2 recommendation forms (sealed, signed on the flap)
• Evidence of your Citizenship or permanent residence status
• TOEFL or GRE test result ( original copies must be sent from the original source)
• Application fee of $76.50

Deadlines

• Fall 2010: March 01, 2010- to be guaranteed for funding, other wise August 01, 2010.
• Winter 2010:: Deadline is December 01, 2009-to be guaranteed for funding otherwise December 31st, 2009.
