Academic Requirements

  • An Honours B.Sc. or equivalent degree from a regionally accredited university.
*B+ or better in honours subject; B- or better overall . 
  • The department you plan to undertake your studies in must provide a recommendation for you.
*Applicants who do not have an honours degree may be admitted to a qualifying-year program.
  • Must prove English language proficiency.
    • Your first language is English, OR
    • You completed your undergraduate study at an English speaking university OR
    • TOEFL: paper based: 550, computed based: 213; web-based: 86

Financial Requirements

  • Tuition fees for one year for Canadians: $4,889.50
  • International tuition fees: $10819.50

Supporting Documents

  • 2 detailed copies of your official transcript for all undergraduate years.
  • 2 recommendation forms from 2 faculty members (sealed, signed on the flap)
  • Evidence of your Citizenship or permanent residence status
  • TOEFL or GRE test result ( original copies must be sent from the original source)

Deadlines

  • Fall 2009 (begins Sept. 1): Deadline is Aug. 31, 2009-may be considered for funding. March 31st, 2009-guaranteed consideration for funding.
  • Winter 2010 (begins Jan. 1): Deadline is December 15, 2009-guaranteed consideration for funding, December 31st, 2009-may be considered for funding.
  • Summer 2010 (begins May 1): Deadline is April 30, 2010–may be considered for funding, March 15th 2010-guaranteed consideration for funding
  • Fall 2010 (begins Sept. 1): Deadline is Aug. 31, 2010-may be considered for funding. March 31st 2010-guaranteed consideration for funding.
