  • Degree: Doctor of Pharmacy
  • Required Courses
    • General Chemistry, with labs (8 credits)
    • General Biology, with labs (8 credits)
    • Biology, 200 level or higher (3 credits)
    • Organic Chemistry, with labs (8 credits)
    • Statistics (3 credits)
    • Calculus I (4 credits)
    • Microbiology, with labs (4 credits)
    • Physics, with labs (8 credits)
    • General Psychology (3 credits)
    • Humanities (9 credits)
      • Examples: English literature, composition, US history, etc.
    • Public Speaking (3 credits)
    • Liberal Arts electives (9 credits)
      • Examples: art, music, sociology, history, psychology, anthropology, economics, foreign language, political science etc.

GPA

  • Expected cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Minimum GPA: 2.5
    • To be considered for review
  • Window GPA: 2.5-2.95
    • Students would be reviewd during their second year if they can enter the first year of the professional program

  • Minimum PCAT above 20th percentile
  • Passing score in the PCAT Writing Assessments (3.0 on Writing Section)

  • To apply for the first professional year of the PharmD program, submit applications through the Pharmacy College Application Service PharmCAS
  • Application includes:

    • Acadmemic course history + official transcripts

    • Personal Statement
    • PCAT scores
    • Three letters of recommendation
  • English Proficiency Tests - required if first language is not English and for applicants who have studied for fewer than 10 years where English is the primary language of instruction

  • Albany campus: $29,300 for P1 and P2 and $26,900 for P3 and P4
  • Vermont campus: $29,300 for all 4 years
