Admission Requirements

General


Academic Requirements

  • Honours or four-year Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in geology or equivalent
  • Minimum of a B- average for the courses in the same field as the major taken within the last two years of undergraduate studies

Financial Requirements

  • International applicants must secure at least $18,000 in funding before applying for a student visa

Supporting Documents

  • Application package which includes a letter of recommendation
  • 2 Copies of transcripts
  • Proof of English proficiency
  • $50 Application fee

Other

  • Two options:
    • 2 full years of study on campus including one summer
    • Obtainment of a Diploma in Remote Sensing or Diploma in Geographic Information Systems from the Centre of Geographic Studies campus of the Nova Scotia Community College. Additional study at Acadia to complete three classes and the thesis.

  • February 1st: to be considered for awards
  • March 15th: last day for application to be received
