Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree: an honours bachelor’s degree (equivalent to McGill Bachelor’s degree) or its equivalent in Psychology with at least a B overall standing
    • Candidates for admission who possess a general bachelor’s degree (other than in psychology) must take at least three terms of qualifying work in psychology

GPA

  • Minimum GPA: a B overall standing (3.3)
  • Note that the minimum GPA is merely the lowest level required. Programs such as clinical psychology are very competitive and a high GPA may be advantageous

GRE

  • all applicants require GRE (verbal, quantitative and analytic scores)
  • TOEFL scores are required for international applicants who do not need to submit proof of English proficiency
      • Minimum paper-based – 550
      • Minimum computer-based – 213
