Admission Requirements
General
- Apply online at http://www.biology.ualberta.ca/programs/graduate/prospective/index.php?Page=4664
- Applicants should get in touch with faculty members in the area they want to study before submitting their applications.
Academic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year program.
- Minimum GPA (in last 2 years) of 3.3 or a B+ avg (78%).
- GRE helps an application (not required however).
Financial Requirements
- For Canadian students, tuition is $4099.
- For international students, tuition is $7691.

- CV
- $100 application fee (if accepted, this goes towards tuition)
- 3 letters of recommendation
Other
- Applicants may have to take a test of profiency in English if it is not their first language (ie. TOEFL exam).
Deadlines
- For September entry, application deadline is March 1st (to be considered among Graduate Teaching Assistantships).
- For those who don’t need GTA funding, there is no deadline.
