- both transcripts will have a weighting of 50:50 unless less than one year of University is completed. In such a case, only High School transcript will be considered.
Important Dates
- September 30 - Last day to lodge application with University Admissions Centre for University students sitting Australian Year 12 examinations in Australia in 2008
- November 28 - Last day to lodge Registration of Interest form and Medicine Application Form with the Faculty of Medicine (however, earlier submission is recommended)
- November 28 - Last day to lodge application with UNSW Admissions for international students not sitting Australian Year 12 examinations in Australia in 2008 (however, earlier submission is recommended)
Tuition
- course fees are charged by unit of credit (u.o.c.) depending on what the applicant falls under (i.e. International Undergraduate vs. Local Undergraduate).
- A standard full time student has a 48 u.o.c. per annum.
- International students' tuition fees can range from about $26 641 to $41 040 for 2009.
- The Faculty of Medicine has calculated that the average living expenses of an international undergraduate student is about $16 000 AUD - $18 000 AUD (approx. $13153.15 CAD - $14 791.13 CAD) with an additional $2 000 AUD (approx. $1641.46 CAD) towards textbook purchases.
