Admission Requirements
Course and Degree Requirements
- Applicants to the Master's Program should hold a degree academically equivalent to a UBC four-year Bachelor's degree
- Sufficient undergraduate background in the intended field of specialty

Other Requirements
- TOEFL is required if the applicant’s degree is not from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or Kenya. The test must have been taken within 2 years from the intended matriculation date and the following minimum scores must be achieved:
- Paper-based test: 600
- Computer-based test: 250
- Internet-based test: 100

Tuition 2012-2013 & Financial Assistance
- Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents
- $1,449.72 per term
- International Students
- $2,546.90 per term
- Ph.D. students in good standing are eligible to receive $22,000 per year based on a combination of teaching and/or research duties.
- M.Sc. students will be supported at $6166.67 per term for their first two terms.
