- Quantum mechanics
- Statistical mechanics
- Electromagnetic theory

- cGPA: 80% (3.0) minimum

- Recommendation letters - 3 scientists
- TOEFL - required if applicant's first language is not English; minimum: 570 (paper based), 230 (computer based), or 88 (internet based)
- GRE Physics subject test - required only if applicant has not obtained a degree from a Canadian university
- $75 application fee

- July 15: Application deadline for Fall entry - note that International students should apply earlier in order to obtain all necessary visa etc.
