Admissions Requirements

General

Academic Requirements

  • Masters:
    • Minimum requirements are a 4-year (Honours) Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent, with a "B" or higher average
  • PhD:
    • A master's degree in Computer Science (with thesis or equivalent in terms of scholarly publications) with at least a "B+" average is normally required for admission into the PhD program.
    • Students who are currently registered in the Master's program may, in exceptional cases be permitted to transfer into the PhD program if they have completed all course requirements with at least a "A-" (80-84%) average and demonstrate significant promise for advanced research.
  • Student must be recommended by the department they plan to study in.
  • Must prove English language proficiency.
    • Your first language is English, OR
    • You completed your undergraduate study at an English speaking university OR
    • TOEFL: paper based: 550, computed based: 213; IBT: 86

  • Tuition fees for one year for Canadians:
  • Fall: $3152.12 and Winter: $2610.12
  • International tuition fees: $10819.50
