- Ph.D. Degree in Radiation Sciences
- All these programs are course intensive
- Designed to provide the education, training as well as the professional development required to pursue a career in Health Physics and Radiation
Admission Requirements
Course and Degree Requirements
- M.Sc. in Health and Radiation Physics:
- B.Sc. Honours Degree
- B+ standing or equivalent in the following courses:
- Physics
- Biophysics
- Engineering Physics
- Chemistry
- Candidate must pass a final comprehensive examination
- Complete and defend a research report based on a project approved by the Department
- M.Sc. in Radiation Physics:
- B.Sc. Honours Degree
- B+ standing or equivalent in the following courses:
- Physics
- Biophysics
- Engineering Physics
- Chemistry
- Must complete satisfactorily:
- Medical Physics 775
- One half-course at 700-level
- Medical Physics 6R03
- Biology 6U03
- Candidate must present and defend a thesis which embodies the results of an original research
- Ph.D. Degree in Radiation Sciences:
- Generally requires completion of M.Sc. degree in Medical Physics, Physics or a similar program
- Candidate must have obtained at least a B+ standing
- Completion of one full course at the 700-level
- Every applicant must pass a Comprehensive Examination concerned with Radiation Sciences but outside their own immediate area of research
- A thesis must be presented and must be defended in a final oral examination
