  • Out of province residents: minimum of 83% university academic average.

MCAT

  • In Province:
    • No minimum score, however cutoff at 24th and 14th percentile for old and new MCAT respectively for an interview invitation.
  • Out of Province:
    • Old MCAT: 30 (≥ 8 in each section in the older MCAT)
    • NEW MCAT: 506 (with section minimums as follows: Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems >127; Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills >127; Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems >126; and Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior >126)
  • Application Fall of 2017 for Entry Fall of 2018: MCAT April 2015 earliest – September 2017

Interview

  • 278 applicants were offered an interview invitation in 2016.
  • The 2018 MMI dates are: March 17-18
  • The interview consists of two minutes to prepare to a given scenario and then eight minutes of dialogue with the assigned interviewer.
  • After the interview, the interviewer will take 2 minutes to assess the candidate while they move on to the next station.
  • MMI: This pattern is repeated through a circuit of 10 stations at the U of S, taking 100 – 120 minutes
