Admissions Requirements
Course and Degree Requirements
- A minimum of 90 semester hours of course work from an accredited college or university
- Biology with lab (16 credits)
- Chemistry, inorganic/general with lab (6 credits)
- Chemistry, organic with lab (6 credits)
- Biochemistry (3 credits)
- Physics with lab (6 credits)
- General Psychology (3 credits)
- English - composition or writing intensive (6 credits)
- A minimum grade of 'C' is required for all courses

- Letters of Recommendation:
- One letter from a dentist.
- One recommendation mailed directly from your institution's Pre-professional Advisory Committee is preferred. In lieu of a committee recommendation, two letters of recommendation from science instructors are acceptable.

- Observation Hours: applicants must complete at least 100 hours of observation in a dental practice setting and/or dental laboratory.

Interview
- Interviews begin in the early fall.
- The full Admissions Committee meets in November to consider applicants who have been interviewed and to make initial selections
for the entering class.
- The Committee may meet again in January to make further selections to fill the entering class if necessary.
