Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree: Minimum 90 credits at an accredited university or college in the U.S. or Canada.
  • Required Courses
    • 1 year of General Biology with lab
    • 1 year of General Chemistry with lab
    • 1 year of Organic Chemistry with lab
    • 1 year of General Physics with lab
    • 1 semester or 2 quarters of Human Anatomy, or 1 full year or three quarters of Anatomy and Physiology
    • 1 semester or 2 quarters of Biochemistry
    • 1 year of English
  • A grade of 'C' or higher must be attained

GPA

  • No minimum requirement
  • Competitive GPA: 3.4 out of 4.0 and 19s/20s on the DAT

DAT

  • The University does not have cut-off DAT scores available, although scores of 19 or more are considered competitive.
  • Recommended to take the DAT after completing 1 year of general biology, general chemistry, and organic chemistry
  • The Canadian DAT is NOT accepted.
  • Scores older than 3 years will not be accepted
  • The highest scores of each section are considered in case of re-takes

  • Letters of Evaluation
    • One letter from a dentist for whom the applicant has worked or shadowed
    • One letter from a pre-health profession committee OR three individual letters (2 must be from science professors)

  • September - March: Interviews
  • December 1: Acceptances begin (rolling admission)
  • January 1: Deadline to submit AADSAS application
  • February: Deadline to submit all supporting documents
