Program Information

Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree: 3 year completion (90 credit hours) at an accredited university is required, however it is recommended that the applicant completes a Bachelor's degree before enrollment.
  • Required Courses
    • English Composition (6 credits)
    • General Biology with labs (8 credits)
    • Inorganic Chemistry with labs (8 credits)
    • Organic Chemistry with labs (8 credits)
    • Physics with labs (8 credits)
    • Biochemistry (3 credits)
  • Required courses must be completed with a grade of 'C' or higher before June 30th of the desired year of matriculation
  • Required coursework must be completed within 10 years of application

GPA

  • overall GPA and science GPA must be presented during the application process
  • Must exceed the the national average

DAT

  • All applicants must take the DAT and submit their scores during the application process
  • DAT should be taken no later than December of the year prior to desired matriculation
  • DAT scores are current for three years

  • Application to the Associated American Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS)

  • Letters of recommendation
    • Preferably written by the applicant's pre-professional committee. However, letters of recommendation from one professor each in the departments of biology and chemistry may be substituted

Interview

  • Upon receipt of the completed supplemental application, selected applicants will be invited for an interview
  • Interviews are with members of the Committee on Dental Recruitment and Admissions

  • Applications are processed on a rolling basis so the applicant should apply early
    • December 31, 2018: AADSAS application and supporting document deadline
  • August 2018: Orientation and Classes begin
