  • Recommended courses: biology, chemistry, mathematics, laboratory or field experiences, behavioral and social sciences, expository writing, statistics, psychology, genetics, physics, sociology

  • 3 Letters of Recommendation
    • Two from a science professor and a third from anyone of the applicant’s choice or one committee letter
  • Supplemental Application
    • Applicant will be sent supplemental application upon receipt from AMCAS application

Evaluation criteria

  • No mathematical formulae are used in making an acceptance decision
  • No specific guidelines are given to committee members to place particular weight upon MCAT's, GPA, or other parts of the completed application
  • Final decision is subjective and based upon the opinions of no fewer than five members of the Committee.

Interview

  • Approximately 500 applicants granted interviews
  • After screening applicant based on primary and secondary applications, admission’s committee will invite the applicant via email for an interview
  • Interviews are conducted September 2015 - February 2016
  • Applicants are interviewed by once by a faculty member or administrator and once by a student
    • Interviews by faculty members or administrators are "blind" or informal, including a part where the interviewee will play a role of a physician to participate in a "standardized patient" excercise
    • Interviews by current students will be in the form of a "working lunch"

  • August 1 - Latest date for early acceptance primary application
  • August 15 - February 15, 2016 - Interview invitations mailed out
  • September 1 - Latest submission date for secondary application as well as supporting documents for early decision acceptance
  • October 1 - Early Acceptance Decision
  • October 15 - Rolling Acceptance begins
  • December 15 - Latest primary application date
  • January 15 - Latest date of receipt for secondary application as well as supporting documents
