  • Biological sciences (6 credits)
  • Chemistry (3 credits of organic chemistry; 6 credits of inorganic chemistry)
  • Physics (6 credits)
  • Note: work in each of these subjects must include lab
  • Recommended: knowledge of a modern foreign language (specifically Spanish or an Asian language) and course work in behavioral sciences, calculus, physical chemistry and biochemistry

  • Stanford Supplemental Application: includes essay questions about personal background and professional interests of the applicant (invitations sent in late July via e-mail and regular mail) - 3 letters of evaluation from three to six individuals who know the applicant well and can evaluate his/her performance in those areas that are most relevant to application - Preferred that letters of recommendation are not sent until after the receipt of the AMCAS application and the invitation to submit a Stanford Supplemental Application - Additional information may be accepted only after an applicant has been invited to an interview
