  • International students:

    • Must prove sufficient funds to meet one year of expenses while studying

  • Letters of evaluation from three to six individuals who know the applicant well and can evaluate his/her performance in those areas that are most relevant to application - Preferred that letters of recommendation are not sent until after the receipt of the AMCAS application and the invitation to submit a Stanford Supplemental Application

Interview

  • Interview invitations will be sent out in July and continue through the end of April on a rolling basis

Timelines for 2017-2018

  • May 2017: Primary application is available via AMCAS
  • June-October 2017: AMCAS applications are received and Stanford Supplemental Application invitations are sent
  • September 29, 2017: Stanford deadline for submitting the AMCAS application
  • October 20, 2017: Stanford deadline for submitting all application materials
  • July 2017 to April 2018: Applications are reviewed and invitations to interview are sent out
  • January to March 2018: Offers of admission are sent out on three release dates
  • January to July 2018: Applicants submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and other financial need applications
  • April 2018: Admit Weekend for admitted students
  • April 30, 2018: Deadline for all applicants to accept a single offer of MD admission to any institution
  • August 2018: Orientation begins for the entering class
  • Late August 2018: First week of classes
