Program Information

Admission Requirements

  • Application through American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) by November 1st.
  • Experiences shadowing physicians and/or volunteering in a clinical setting is recommended.

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Preference is given to applicants with a baccalaureate degree in an accredited college
  • Minimum requirement is 90 semester hours or 135 quarter hours

Required Courses:

  • Biology: One academic year (6 credits) of general biology or zoology with lab
  • Chemistry:
    • Two academic years of chemistry
    • At least 3 semesters of lab
    • At least one semester must be Organic Chemistry
  • Biochemistry: at least one semester
  • Physics: One academic year of physics with lab
  • English: One academic year of English
  • Probability or Statistics: may choose biostatistics
  • AP credits are acceptable.

  • Average of 2015: 3.72 (3.65 Science)

MCAT

  • No required minimum MCAT score
  • Average of 2015: 30.7
  • MCAT must have been written between January 2014 and September 2016 for this cycle.
