Program Information

Curriculum

  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
    • 6 years in length
    • Small group teaching approach
    • Multiple clinical and biological fields of study including:
      • Anatomy
      • Infection control
      • Disease prevention control
      • Biochemical processes
      • Health promotion
      • Medical ethics
    • Clinical placements starting in first year and continuing throughout your degree provide a hands-on approach
      • In year 4, placements are in Townsville and Cairns.
      • In year 5 and 6, you will be placed in the clinical school sites in either Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, or Darwin, as well as several extended placements in small rural towns and communities.
  • Honours degree is also available for study.
