Program Information

  • Bachelor of Clinical Sciences (2 years), Doctor of Medicine (MD) (4 years)
    • Equivalent to MD from U.S.
    • To practice in country besides Australia, must satisfy country’s requirements for foreign medical graduates
    • To practice in Canada, one must qualify for Canadian Resident Matching Service

Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements for MD

  • There are no course or specified degree requirements
  • Applicants must be in or have completed their final year of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Satisfactory completion of final year is required for entry

GPA

  • Weighted GPA used to determine competitiveness
  • wGPA calculated based on more recent 3 years of bachelors degree completed
    • Final year x 3
    • Second last year x 2
    • Third last year x 1
  • Masters degree or PhD will not be included in calculation of wGPA

MCAT or GAMSAT

  • Admissions test may either be MCAT or GAMSAT
    • For more information about GAMSAT, click here
  • May 31 MCAT is latest test for application in that year, and MCATs from within the previous 3 years will be accepted

Supporting Documents

  • Application must include:
    • Photograph
    • Scanned transcript
    • GAMSAT or MCAT test results
    • Application fee ($60)
    • Evidence of english proficiency
  • Online application includes space for paid employment, volunteer positions, and extracurricular activities

Interview

  • Interview for international students based on admissions test results and weighted GPA
  • Interviews are conducted in May and July-August
  • In North America, interviews are conducted in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, or Toronto area
  • Arrangements will be made if the student cannot make a face-to-face interview

  • July~August 2017 – Interviews
  • July 1~November 13 2017- Individual applications considered subject to place availability
  • February, 2018 – Classes begin
