- Post-secondary: minimum one year of undergraduate study at a recognized university
- High school students: see page 11 of the Medicine Admissions Notes for a details depending on curriculum

- HKDSE: 41 (total subject score)
- IB: 42 (including bonus points, Higher Level 677 - including Chemistry and/or Biology)
- GCE A-Level: 4A* and all subjects 93% (including Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics)
- SAT: 2200 composite score
- ACT: 34
- ATAR: 99.5
- Degree Holder: GPA 3.8 or First Class Honours or Top 10% of class
