Academic Requirements
- Master's
- Honours baccalaureate degree
- Minimum B- average in their last 2 years of equivalent study
- Recognized post-secondary institution
- Doctoral
- Completed a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree
- Recognized post-secondary institution
- Minimum B average in their Master’s program (department may require higher standing)
- Demonstrated strong potential for research
- Two academic references

- If your first language is not English, you will be required to submit the results of a standardized language test. Review the English Language Test chart here for acceptable tests and required scores.

Financial Requirements (based on 2018)
- Full-time domestic students, M.Sc. or Ph.D.: approximately $3,000.00
- Full-time international students, M.Sc. or Ph.D.: approximately $7,000.00

Deadlines
- Applications are accepted all year
- Semesters begin in January, May, and September
- Processing and consideration time for applications takes around 6 weeks
- Applications should be submitted ~ 2 months prior to the semester of desired entry
- International students are strongly advised to apply 6 to 9 months before the desired month of entry to allow for English score submission (~ 1 to 2 months), student visas, etc.
