Course and Degree Requirements
- Master of Science
- Degree: Bachelor's degree in a relevant academic discipline
- Minimum: undergraduate degree in Science with at least a strong minor in Computer Science

- MATH 223: Linear Algebra
- MATH 240: Discrete Structures

- Degree: Bachelor's degree in a relevant academic discipline
- Doctor of Philosophy
- Degree: Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related area
- In special cases, students holding a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with an outstanding academic record may be admitted directly to the Ph.D. program but they must first apply to the M.Sc program.

GPA
- Minimum CGPA: 3.2 (4.0 scale)
- If CGPA is slightly lower but the applicant possesses a superior record in Computer Science and Mathematics, his or her application may still be considered.
GRE
- Applicants are encouraged to take the GRE; however, it is not required unless the applicant did not complete a degree in Canada

- University Transcripts
- Unofficial copy of your complete university-level academic record
- If the transcript does not indicate that a degree has been conferred a copy of the degree certificate (diploma) will also have to be uploaded.
- English/French translation provided by the institution issuing the transcript or by a certified translator must accompany transcripts written in other languages than English/French
- 2 letters of recommendation
- Official GRE scores (if applicable)
- Official TOEFL/IELTS scores (if applicable)
- CV
- For Ph.D applicants:
- a statement outlining the objective of their graduate program
- a list of at least 3 potential supervisors

Note: Most Computer Science graduate students are admitted to the Fall semester and in exceptional cases, students may be admitted to the Winter semester.
- January 1st: Application deadline to be considered for financial support.
- March 1st: Application deadline with possible consideration for financial support.
- September 1st: Application deadline for the Winter semester (Ph.D.)
