Program Information
Curriculum
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
- 6 years in length
- Small group teaching approach
- Multiple clinical and biological fields of study including:
- Anatomy
- Infection control
- Disease prevention control
- Biochemical processes
- Health promotion
- Medical ethics
- Clinical placements starting in first year and continuing throughout your degree provide a hands-on approach
- In year 4, placements are in Townsville and Cairns.
- In year 5 and 6, you will be placed in the clinical school sites in either Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, or Darwin, as well as several extended placements in small rural towns and communities.
- Honours degree is also available for study.
